Mahmoud Bek Mosque
Mahmoud Bey Al Zaeem built this mosque in 1612, during the Ottoman period. Its impressive dome rises from a hexagonal base and is among the largest and highest domes in Tripoli.
A cylindrical minaret completes the composition. Its form clearly reflects the Ottoman architectural tradition of the building’s time.
