Sidi Abdulwahed Mosque

Sheikh Abdulwahed Al Muknassi, who came from Morocco, completed this mosque in 1306 during Tripoli’s Mamluk period. The founder’s Moroccan background is reflected in the building itself.

Moroccan influences can be seen in the historic inscriptions inside the mosque and in its small minaret. The latter is regarded as the smallest minaret in Tripoli’s old city.
