Nazih Al Ahdab is a respected Lebanese journalist, producer, and television presenter from Tripoli, Lebanon. For more than three decades, he has shaped Arab media with his analytical voice and deep sense of integrity.
He began his media journey in 1989, working with Al-Fayhaa TV, Tripoli TV, and Lebanon TV. During those early years, he learned how powerful journalism can be in building awareness and defending freedom of expression.
Over time, Nazih Al Ahdab became known for his bold yet balanced style. He covered political developments and social issues with accuracy and empathy, earning the trust of viewers across Lebanon. His growing experience led him to Al-Quds TV, where, in 2008, he served as Director of Political Programs. There, he refined his editorial vision and developed content that encouraged open dialogue on sensitive topics.
In 2016, he joined Al Jazeera Media Network, where he produces and hosts the influential program Above Authority. The show analyzes the relationship between power and accountability in Arab and global politics. His calm presence, clear delivery, and fearless questions have made him a familiar face to millions of viewers.
Nazih is deeply proud of his Tripoli roots, which he often references in his work. For him, the city’s history and struggles continue to inform his perspective on national issues.
Outside the studio, Nazih Al Ahdab mentors younger journalists and participates in media training initiatives across the Arab world. He believes that mentorship is essential for sustaining ethical and independent media in the Arab world, and views journalism as both a duty and a platform for positive change.
